Jed Yabut is an Architect (UP Diliman), and an MBA graduate (Waseda University, Tokyo). He has worked as Architectural Project Manager for mega projects, and luxury hotels in Singapore and Japan.

At the height of the pandemic, Jed started a furniture business in Manila focusing on local Filipino aesthetics, materials, and craftmanship. He uses rattan - a classic Filpino material to showcase contemporary silhouettes and creative forms of Fipino furniture. The designs of the pieces emphasize random patterns and varied textures ("tagpi-tagpi") as an homage to the Filipino sensibilities of a "beautiful chaos" and resourcefulness.
